Modern Treatment technology that reduces surgery risks is used to ensure that no problem crops up during the course of treatment. Various procedures that are carried out AEIRC are mentioned below:
Angioplasty
In this, a catheter is introduced inside the blood vessel in order to an angiogram and treat different diseases. The blocked blood vessel can be opened with a catheter with a balloon.
Embolisation
There are several cases in which a blood vessel needs to be blocked. This process is done in case of serious bleeding and the process of embolisation helps due to pseudoaneurysms.
Radiofrequency Ablation
This is a new technique for the treatment of small hepatocellular carcinomas as well as for metastasis from colorectal cancer. In this process, a 16 G needle is put inside the lesion and this leads to tumor ablation via heating.
Chemoembolisation
In this technique a cancer medicine is injected inside the blood vessel and this medicine goes straight to the tumor. This procedure reduces the side effects of taking cancer medicines the specialist makes sure that the tumor gets the high dosage of medicine. This process is usually adopted for patients with liver cancer and who cannot go through any kind of surgery.
